Kasganj Case: Chand Mian, father of Altaf, who was killed in police custody in Kasganj Kotwali, Uttar Pradesh, has written a letter to Priyanka Gandhi. At the same time, it has been said to raise the demand for a CBI inquiry into Altaf’s death.

In the death of Altaf, father Chand Mian had recently sent a letter to the Chief Minister demanding a CBI inquiry. Altaf’s father Chand Mian, in a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had said that the postmortem of his son’s body should be done by the doctors of AIIMS. Chand Mian had also said that the matter should be investigated by the CBI. He has warned of a hunger strike if the demand is not met.

Earlier in the case, a murder case was registered against unknown policemen on the basis of the Tahrir of the deceased’s father Chand Mian. The investigation of the case was handed over to the Inspector of Kotwali, Ramesh Bhardwaj. In the Tahrir, Altaf’s father had written that on the night of November 08, the Kotwali police reached his house and took Altaf to the Kotwali citing interrogation. In Kotwali, unknown policemen beat up the son fiercely and killed him.

It is noteworthy that Altaf, who was taken into custody for interrogation, has been accused of death due to alleged police beating. At the same time, the police claim that the youth hanged Altaf from the bathroom tap with a string attached to the hook of his jacket.
